Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How is Flowers of Comfort different than other Bay Area charities?

We are a small South Bay Area charity that has no paid administrators, no rents or overhead. We operate strictly with unpaid volunteers, donated goods and work out of a volunteer's garage. Any monetary donations are strictly used to purchase tools, equipment, floral supplies to allow us to bring flowers to those needing encouragement and cheer.

Q: How many people do you impact with your charitable work?

We are currently averaging 80-120 floral arrangements delivered weekly. Our flowers are delivered to 6 Hospice providers, Valley Med Rehabilitation patients, residential care homes, nursing facilities, memory care units on a rolling basis.

Between April 2018 and January 2022, Flowers of Comfort has offered hope and encouragement, through our flowers, to over 13,000 people.

Q: If I want to donate vases but live out of the area, how could I do that?

Dollar Tree is the best place to purchase vases for Flowers of Comfort, & at $1.25, they are the best bargain around. Dollar Tree carries 3 styles of 7" vases that work  best for us: Cylinder, Mario & Jardin. They can be shipped to us directly or to a store close by 95148 zipcode, where we could pick them up.

Q: What percentage of your donations are used for administrative costs??

Zero. 100% of all donations are used for Flowers of Comfort. We have no rents, utilities or salaries. All donations are used to help us accomplish our mission.

Q: How can I help Flowers of Comfort?

Monetary donations help us the most, (see "How to Help") as we are able to buy supplies at wholesale but we do have an Amazon wish list available at
